Eddie finds a vendetta between Corporate, the government, and the rebel governor of Nebraska, John aMorning Suna Gall, a Lakota Sioux Indian. Gall has risen to power from the Sand Hills of Nebraska and revived the Nebraska economy, while the rest of the American economy goes downhill. Eddieas secret spawns jealousy and hatred from the government that both fears Gallas working-man ethic, and wants him killed because of the charismatic adoration his people have for him.

Eddie is sent to Nebraska to weed out the pieces of the story, but he finds out that he is much more than just a newspaper reporter.
